LW Dairy was started by Larry and Maria Westhoff on August 1, 2001 -- bringing home -delivered, glass bottled milk back to Milwaukee and Madison after a long absence.

Larry grew up on a third generation dairy farm. After marriage, Larry and Maria owned a 70 cow dairy farm in northeast Wisconsin for 5 years.

The husband and wife team were concerned about the quality and taste of milk the consumer had to purchase at grocery and convenience stores. The home delivery idea came to Larry who contemplated bottling his own milk; instead, Larry and Maria sold their herd of cows for a fleet of trucks and have been doing home delivery ever since.

Answering the customers' growing concerns for local, as well as fresh, rBGH free milk, the couple opened their own Grade A dairy plant in Ashippun, WI. After many years of research, planning, and the adventures of traveling the country for just the right equipment to produce the best tasting milk, the first bottle of milk rolled off the line on June 8, 2008.

Larry and Maria, along with their six children, are committed to their only business, the dairy plant. They offer high-quality milk at an affordable price thru home delivery. Above all, they are committed to providing the best tasting milk in the country.

LW Dairy features: whole, 2%, 1%, skim and chocolate milk. The milk is from local family farms, just a few miles from our dairy plant. All LW Dairy milk is Farmer-Certified rBGH free and free of antibiotics. (**No significant difference has been shown between milk from rBST-treated and untreated cows.) Within hours of milking, we pasteurize, homogenize and bottle the milk. In doing so, we are able to provide you with the freshest milk you could ever buy.

LW Dairy offers the best of Wisconsin dairy products, which are refrigerated all the way to your door. We deliver in the early morning to your doorstep, normally within 24-48 hours of milking. Milk in grocery store-lighted shelves is rarely as fresh as home delivered milk. We use glass bottles that insulate more efficiently than paper or plastic, ensuring fresher, better tasting milk.
